I was commissioned by Ballroom Blitz to create a photo essay for Ballroom Express, the club's literary and visual extension. I wanted the pictures to really capture the essence of Ballroom as a club that gathers people with one common interest: music. I made it my mission to capture the club's rebel spirit, whether it be through hazy color palettes, the spontaneity of the shots, or the simple fact that the pictures were captured on film via a point and shoot camera or edited to look like they were.
